Privacy
Yosei is screen sharing between your own devices. Your screen, sound and input never pass through a Yosei server, because there isn’t one. This page says what little we do keep.
The apps
- Your screen, sound and input travel directly between your Mac and your iPhone or iPad: over USB, your local Wi‑Fi, or Tailscale. They are encrypted end to end on every path. Away from home, Tailscale may relay the connection when it can’t make a direct one; it stays end-to-end encrypted, and Tailscale’s privacy policy covers its part.
- No account. You pair your devices with a six-digit code shown on your Mac. Nothing about you is registered with us.
- No analytics. The apps don’t report how you use them.
- Reports, only when you send them. If you choose Send a Report, the logs of both devices go into one file that you send yourself, by Mail, AirDrop or however you like. Nothing is sent otherwise.
- Updates. Yosei for Mac checks yosei.app for new versions, which, like any web request, shows our host your IP address.
- TestFlight. During the beta, Apple’s TestFlight may send us crash reports and any feedback you choose to send, under Apple’s terms.
This website
- No cookies, no ads, nothing that follows you around the web.
- Visit counts. Vercel Web Analytics counts visits to these pages: which page, the site or link that brought you here, whether you then press Join on TestFlight or download Yosei for Mac, and your country, browser and kind of device. It sets no cookies and keeps nothing that identifies you; it tells one visitor from another only within a day, by a hash that is then discarded.
- Hosting. yosei.app is served by Vercel, whose servers keep standard request logs (such as IP addresses) to run the service.
- The beta sign-up. If you join, we keep your email address, when you joined, and which page you joined from. It is stored with Supabase in the European Union (Frankfurt). We use it for one email, to tell you the beta has opened, and nothing else. We never sell or share it, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.
Your choices
To have your address deleted, or to ask what we hold, write to privacy@yosei.app. You can also unsubscribe from any email we send.
Who we are
